Founded in August 2008 in Menlo Park, CA, Socialfly is in many ways your typical Silicon Valley startup – two guys both have a nagging problem, and they start hacking away in a garage until they come up with a solution. Along the way they discover that a lot more people have the same problem, and there are a lot of related problems that people have as well. A passion and a business is born.

Mission

Our mission is fairly simple: we want to help our users be twice the friend in half the time.

Social networks have helped us connect to vast numbers of people – people we like, or think are interesting. We collect these people as ‘friends’, but we often don’t keep up with them much after that, even when we want to. Making connections is easy, but maintaining and growing connections is hard.

That’s where Socialfly comes in. Socialfly lets you decide which people matter to you, and keeps you on top of those relationships. Never forget to talk to someone again, and never forget what you’ve talked about. Follow up with those plans you’ve made, and keep making more. Isn’t it about time there’s a service that helps you with this?

Jan 08	Nick and Dick realize they need a better way to keep up with everybody they meet. Months of brainstorming and product mock-ups ensue.
May 08	Work begins on Socialfly 1.0
Aug 08	Socialfly is incorporated. Socialfly 1.0 launched on Facebook.
Oct 08	Socialfly becomes an fbFund grant recipient. Socialfly 2.0 launched on Facebook.
Dec 08	Socialfly 3.0 launched, in both Facebook and standalone formats.
